Well all I can say, I was using squid orange 16mm pop up from carp crib baits was on peg 10 was cast out just in front where got opening between 2 trees right in front of the metal peg but more to left hand side. I was just using a running lead rig, 2oz weight. Round about 11 o’clock I decided to make myself cuppa went to pour my milk in.  Chucked milk over myself as the left hand bite alarm started going mental!  If I’m honest the way it was fighting it felt like over 10lb mark! But when I weighed it, it came out as only 8.6lb.  I can’t wait to see how big that beauty grows up.  3 hours later on, from that same spot, I caught 5.3lb common using squid orange pop up made by carp crib baits.
